What happens in a One to One Yoga session?
Initially we meet for an introductory session to talk about what you are looking for from One to One Yoga. This involves filling out a short questionnaire and helping me build a picture of your health, lifestyle and goals, then trying a few simple postures.
For the duration of a session we focus on your body, looking at your movement and finding ways to explore that with gentle attention and awareness. We won't necessarily talk about this directly and yet there will be a kind of conversation happening within, between you and your body.
Yoga can be an excellent part of a slow holistic shift in lifestyle, rather than a quick fix. Perhaps you simply feel drawn to Yoga without clearly knowing why - which is what happened to me – and then insights may emerge through the work. Perhaps you will begin the Yoga sessions and realise you want to start dance classes, meditation or running instead. In my experience Yoga helps us to be more connected to, and honest with ourselves.
As with life in general, sometimes Yoga practice can feel difficult, insurmountable, and grizzly. Other days it might feel simple, fluid and joyful - and of course everything in between. Having a qualified teacher to guide you can help the practice feel supported and manageable and bring motivation and commitment to continue and develop Yoga practice.
Sessions cost £50.00 Per hour
special rate for Pregnancy sessions: £40.00 for 1.15 hours
Joint sessions can also be arranged for yourself and a
friend / partner at a cost of £70.00 per hour
